Its theme revisits a world frequently used in online casinos, Ancient Egypt and in particular the Golden Age of Khem, with the God of knowledge and wisdom, Thoth, as the main character.

It is a classic grid game with a format of 6 vertical and 4 horizontal lines for 4,096 ways to win. Different symbols fall in a cascade. Symbols that are part of a winning combination explode, resulting in a new cascade to hopefully form a new winning combination. There are many ways to win in Word of Thoth. In fact, there are up to 4,096 ways to win. To win, you need to have at least 3 identical symbols appear anywhere on the grid, adjacent to each other from left to right, as shown in the image below.

How the Word of Thoth bonus works

There are two different ways to trigger the free spins bonus feature in Word of Thoth. When 3 or more Scatter symbols land on the reels, the free spins bonus feature is triggered. 10 free spins are awarded and an additional 2 free spins are awarded for any new stunts that occur while the bonus is triggered. If 4 or more Scatter symbols land on the reels, each Scatter offers 5 additional free spins.

The other way to trigger the free spins is to fill the gauge at the top left of the grid. This gauge consists of 5 slots that fill up with each new stunt or Scatter symbol landing on the reels. The gauge is reset to 0 after each stunt sequence. During free spins, the gauge is active and offers benefits. When 3, 4, 5 or more consecutive stunts occur, the player receives 1, 2 or 5 extra free spins and a global x3, x5 or x10 multiplier is activated. The multiplier is not reset during free spins, but the gauge is. Finally, if no win is recorded during the free spins bonus feature, additional free spins are offered until a win is achieved. Our opinion about Word of Thoth

With a classic theme, cascading action and free spins with progressive multipliers, Yggdrasil's newest creation is not original but effective. With the exception of the gauge as an alternative way to trigger the bonus game, Word of Thoth is in line with classic slots with a bonus purchase feature. As for its potential jackpot of over 7,300 times the starting bet, it's not exceptional but correct for this type of machine.
