How Nitro Circus works

Nitro Circus is an original slot machine found in online casinos. It is published since November 2018 by the online gaming provider Yggdrasil. This slot features the American television show of the same name where stuntmen travel the world to perform acrobatic and spectacular tricks. This is the first time the provider has partnered with a brand.

It features a classic reel operation with 5 reels of 4 rows and 25 paylines. The reels are triggered and show different symbols. The payout rate to Nitro Circus players is up to 97% and it can be described as a low to medium volatility machine with a payout of up to 2,070 times its original bet.

The different symbols of Nitro Circus

There are 10 different symbols that can appear on the grid :

• the flame as a WILD: it appears anywhere on the reels and replaces any other symbol except the Scatter.

The different connections in Nitro Circus

Many connections are possible on Nitro Circus. Indeed, there are 20 payment lines that you can find on the image below. Whether they are lines, diagonals or simple keys, there are many ways to win. You need to line up between 3 and 5 symbols from left to right to win.

How Nitro Circus bonuses work

Many bonus features are included in Nitro Circus. Let's start with the Nitro Blast feature. It is triggered when 2 bombs land on the reels on the same spin.

5 bombs then appear on the screen, containing different rewards and they explode in turn until only one survivor is left. The survivor's reward is offered. In addition to Wilds (between 2 and 9) and free spins (between 10 and 30), the bombs may contain vehicle symbols on the gauges to the left of the grid to trigger the Nitro Jump function.

When at least 3 bombs land on the reels, the free spins bonus feature is triggered. 3, 4 and 5 bombs give 10, 20 and 30 free spins respectively as well as 1, 2 or 3 Nitro Blast rewards. Each time a bomb appears during free spins, the Nitro Blast function is triggered with specific rewards (see image above).

Finally, the Nitro Jump function is surely the most original feature of this machine. On the left side of the grid, symbols of different vehicles under a red, yellow, green and blue background are present with a gauge set at 5. When the letters NITRO appear on the grid, or when 5 similar vehicles are collected (filling the corresponding gauge), the Nitro Jump function is triggered.

The player is invited to choose the vehicle he wants before starting the race. The appearance of the letters NITRO offers the choice between an FMX motorbike, a BMX bike or a scooter. The gauges offer the choice between the 4 atypical vehicles of the symbols (Rocking Horse, Sofa Chair, Mini Car or Bath Tub). Each vehicle has its own Tricks, Boost and Size characteristics, establishing more or less chances to collect cash, get a big multiplier or the items put into play. The race can then begin and the vehicle will embark on a course of three training jumps before the final jump.

During the jumps, the player can pocket several items: gold coins converted to cash, boosts for the final jump, multipliers or vehicle symbols to increase the gauges and re-trigger the Nitro Jump function.

Before the final jump, the player is offered to boost his jump further if he wishes to obtain the highest possible final multiplier. But this is not without risk: manual boosting also increases the chances of crashes and the loss of multipliers. This last animation adds volatility to the function in a way. The final jump with the collection of the gains then takes place.

Our opinion about Nitro Circus

For its first collaboration with a brand, the provider Yggdrasil hit the nail on the head: Nitro Circus is none other than the adaptation of a successful TV show and the quality of its animations immediately immerses us in the stuntmen. If the monotony will quickly be broken by the various bonus features, the difficulty of understanding them may discourage more than one.
