How Frozen Gems works

The different connections in Frozen Gems

On Frozen Gems connections are made from left to right with a minimum of three symbols. Connections are adjacent with a maximum of 243 possible payment paths. Each connection triggers an avalanche of new symbols from the top of the game grid. When no more connections are possible, the game round is over. In addition, during a game round, for each connection made, the payout multiplier increases by one. This means that the next connections made during the game round will be multiplied by this multiplier and so on.

On Frozen Gems, we can notice frozen symbols. Each reel holds one that is randomly assigned to each round of the game. To defrost them, you have to make three connections during a game round on the reels in question. This has the effect of releasing the functionality above the reel that has obtained three connections. Here are the different possible functionalities:

• x2 - Splits all the symbols on the reel in two.

• x3 - Divides all the symbols on the scroll into three

• W - Replaces all the symbols on the scroll with the wild symbol

When no more connections are possible, the game round is over and we move on to the next round.

How Frozen Gems bonus works

The bonus game is started when you manage to get at least three scatter symbols (represented by a golden gem) on one round of the game. By obtaining these three symbols, you get nine free spins for the bonus game.

Frozen Gems is a slot machine built on the foundations of its big sister Perfect Gems, which had not met with unanimous success despite its potential. Here, the concept has been revised by modifying a feature giving the illusion of a better potential. The design is very clean despite an aging side that Play'n Go doesn't use much on their slot machines. We can also note that this design is strongly inspired by Perfect Gems, and even rehabbed. Despite these few points, we think that Frozen Gems could be more appreciated by the community than Perfect Gems thanks to its much more visible potential.
