Basic Information

First Person Blackjack is Evolution Gaming’s RNG version of the popular card game. In this version, players can play five hands per round with two side bets available on each.

The smallest betting chip on the table is worth €0.50, which makes it the minimum bet amount too. Though the biggest chip there is €100, you can place multiple bets on the different hands up to a maximum of €5,000.

Other installments in Evolution's First Person classic game series include First Person Dragon Tiger and First Person Craps.

Theme and Graphics

As expected, First Person Blackjack comes with the sleek modern casino look that Evolution is known for. From the intro of the game to the main table, the setup feels realistic, like you’re stepping into a physical casino.

The table is covered in green with a clean wooden trim, while the chips line up neatly at the bottom. When it’s time to make decisions, the game zooms in on each hand, allowing you to have a broader view.

Soft music plays in the background, creating a calm mood that lets you focus on making your decisions.

RTP and Volatility

Generally, the game has a 99.29% RTP, which is around the figure for most blackjack games. However, the return rates for the side bets and the Cash Offer differ. We’ve listed them in the table below.

Blackjack RTP99.29%

How to Play the Game

To play, you must first place your bets by selecting chips and placing them in the bet area. The Blackjack bet must first be placed before you can make side bets.

After wagering, click ‘Deal’. You will receive two open cards on each hand you activate. The virtual dealer will get two cards as well – one open and the other closed.

Depending on your first two cards, you make a decision. In the end, if your card hand is better than the dealer’s without busting, you win your blackjack bet. You also win the side bets if you meet their requirements.

Game Rules

First Person Blackjack is played with 8 standard 52-card decks. Cards 2 to 10 are all taken at face value, while face cards (J, Q, and K) are valued as 10. Aces (A) are taken as 1 or 11, depending on which is favourable to your card hand.

After your cards have been dealt, you will be given the chance to make the following moves:

  • Hit: Get an additional card. You can keep hitting until you reach 21 or bust.

  • Stand: If you’re satisfied with your card hand, you stand and watch the dealer play.

  • Double: This doubles your bet and adds an extra card to your hand.

  • Split: Your bet is doubled, and the cards are split into two hands

  • Insure: You are given the insurance option if the dealer’s open card is an Ace. It offsets the risk of the dealer having a blackjack.

  • Cash Out: If the dealer does not have a blackjack, this option allows you to cash out what’s remaining of your main bet.

When you’ve made your move, the dealer’s downcard will be opened. If the virtual dealer has a hand of 16 or less, it must hit until it reaches or exceeds 17. The dealer always stands at 17.

First Person Blackjack Side Bets

In this game, the side bets pay the biggest prizes per hand. However, they also offer the lowest odds and lower RTPs.

We’ve explained the options below, so you can understand the risks. Your payout from each hand you play depends on the bets placed and their outcomes.

First Person Blackjack is one of those games that proves Evolution is as great with RNG titles as it is with live casinos. It captures the feel of real blackjack without needing a live dealer.

What’s more, the side bets and multiple hands provide you with enough chances to win. You just have to manage your bets properly and be careful taking risks with the side bets. To play it safe, you can stick to making blackjack bets and avoid the side options.

For us, what stood out most while playing this game was how clean everything looked and felt. No unnecessary effects or delays, just straight blackjack. It almost felt like sitting at a real table, only without the pressure of live players watching your every move.

If you enjoy table games, First Person Blackjack is definitely worth trying.
