How Sabaton works

Sabaton is a slot machine present in online casinos. It has been published since May 2019 by the gaming provider Play'n GO. This slot features the famous Swedish power metal band with their soundtrack music.

The different symbols of Sabaton

10 different symbols can appear on the grid:

• the group leader Joakim Brodén as WILD (pays x100 for 5 identical symbols): it appears anywhere on the reels and replaces any other symbol except the Scatter.

• the group's logo as a Scatter: it appears anywhere on the reels and triggers the Battalion Spins bonus function when at least 9 of them are together.

The different connections in Sabaton

Only a few connections are possible on Sabaton. Indeed, there are 10 payment lines that you can find in the image below. Whether they are lines, diagonals or simple keys, you have to align between 3 and 5 symbols from left to right to get a payout.

How Sabaton bonuses work

When at least 9 Scatter symbols land on the reels (or a Mega Scatter in 3x3 format), the Battalion Spins bonus function is triggered. 7 free spins are awarded. One of the game symbols is then selected to stack on the entire reel. During this free spins bonus function, reels 2, 3 and 4 merge into one Mega Symbol. If at least 9 Scatter Symbols appear again, the function is triggered again, with no limit.

Several features can be triggered at random during the basic game as well as during the free spins:

• Chained Reels : between 2 and 3 reels link together to accommodate identical symbols (only in the basic set).

• Last Stand : between 1 and 2 reels are chosen to accommodate WILD symbols.

• Metal Stacks and Mystery Symbol : a symbol is randomly chosen at each spin to stack on the entire reel. This symbol replaces the Scatter if 3 to 8 Scatter symbols are present on the grid. This symbol is fixed during the free spins bonus function.

• Mega Symbols : only the symbols of the group members can be transformed into Mega Symbol during the different features.
